Class Reunions Weekend

Golf Outing, Fish Fry, Band Night

Photo: Alumni Cooking at Fish Fry.Join alumni of all ages at the 2008 Class Reunions and Fish Fry on the weekend of July 25-27 at the Log Cabin and Alumni Pavilion and Newell apartment area. Classes ending in "3" and "8" are featured this year but all alumni are encouraged to attend. There is something for everyone.

We regret that the Fish Fry is so popular this year that it is at capacity. ON LINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. We will accept "walk-ins" only if there are last minute cancellations. University site regulations do not allow us to "squeeze in" a few more people. Please consider attending the free Rutgers Gardens Open House and the class events planned by the Classes of '93 and '98. See below.

The Class of 1993 and The Class of 1998 will host additional activities. See here for details. You can RSVP for these events on either of the All Alumni Events forms above. Open and walk-ins are welcome. You can pay at the door.

Have more questions? Contact cookalumni@alumni.rutgers.edu. Emails received by end-of-business Friday will be answered Friday.

Want to make sure your reunion reflects your idea? Contact the reunion committee at cookalumni@alumni.rutgers.edu. Volunteers are needed all year round.

Fish Fry

It's not all fish and it's not all fried, but it is all fun. Join Roger Locandro, class of 1960 and former Dean of Students, as he serves up the freshest fish you'll ever eat without catching it yourself. Alumni from the "Interesting and Edible Meats" and related classes help with the cooking. The fare includes shrimp, hamburgers, salads and beverages. Activities, but not babysitting, are provided for children. Round up your classmates, quad mates, floor buddies or club pals and reserve a table. Space is limited. 11:30 - 3.

Golf Outing

The Cook Alumni and Parents' Associations have joined to host a Scholarship Golf Outing at the Rutgers Golf Course to support scholarships and campus activities. Don't golf? Join the golf clinic and luncheon, take a chance on the silent auction, or volunteer at a station while friends or family play. Opportunities exist at many levels for sponsorship: bags, holes, meals, and more.
Friday, July 25, 7 a.m. registration 8:30.

Alumni are encouraged to sponsor prizes, buy an ad in the program, donate a silent auction item, play and volunteer.
More information on golf-only registration and opportunities for sponsorships.

Rising Remembrance Ceremony

From time to time it is fitting to remember those who are no longer with us. The Rising Memorial Patio, behind the Cook Campus Center, was designed to commemorate the lives of alumni, students, faculty and staff who's lives were cut short. A brief and uplifting ceremony includes the installation of name plaques on the memorial. There is no fee to attend or to request that someone be remembered. POSTPONED
